From the outside in skeleton wall constructions or in the case of ventilated facades, it is recommended to lay wind insulation to eliminate wind blown insulation. For metal cassette walls, the metal vapor barrier fulfills the vapor barrier function. The material can also be used in horizontal constructions (e.g. thick-ribbed wooden ceilings, skeleton-transom constructions or skeletal constructions) as thermal and acoustic insulation laid between the beams of inter-story floors.
