Product description
This product is particularly suitable for solutions from gypsum plasterboard, but it is used for mineral surfaces such as cement-lime plasters, concrete surfaces, painted surfaces, already existing gypsum plasters and gypsum coats. The product is suitable for manual and machine application up to 3 mm thick.
Fill & Finish is also used
- for sticking paper tapes for plasterboard joints, for HRAK edges pre-filled with Knauf Uniflott
- for gluing Knauf metal-paper corner profiles
- for full-area thin-layer plastering of plasterboard surfaces
- thanks to easier grinding as a finishing layer for delicate surfaces that are susceptible to scratches (e.g. polyurethane, gypsum, etc.)
In addition, it contains ingredients that improve the usable properties of ready masses. Method of implementation
Subsoil:
The substrate must be dry, stable, clean and free of dust. Large irregularities or damage must be filled with Knauf Fugenfuller Leicht or Knauf Uniflott.
Priming:
Plasterboards with joints jointed with Knauf Fill & Finish Light do not require priming. Absorbent or unstable substrates should be primed or reinforced with Knauf Tiefengrunt or Universalgrunt.
A method of preparing:
After opening the Knauf Fill & Finish Light mass has the consistency of dry foam, which, when mixed, becomes plastic and easy to spread. The mass can be diluted as needed by adding clean water in 250 ml portions. After each addition of water, the mass should be slightly mixed and checked for use. Use only clean tools and containers.
Treatment
■ Apply in layers up to 3 mm thick.
■ Apply the next coat after the previous one dries
■ Sand the dry surface with # 240 - # 300 paper at the latest 3-4 days after application (manual sanding is recommended)
■ After a long time, the surface becomes hard and durable
■ After drying, prime the surface with primer. Such a finished surface can be painted with all types of paints. Knauf Fill & Finish Light dries by evaporation, so the processing time depends on the temperature and humidity
Temperature and processing conditions
■ Filling may only take place if there are no major relative elongations of the Knauf boards, e.g. due to changes in humidity or temperature
■ During filling, the room temperature must not be below +13 ° C
■ For mastic asphalt, cement and liquid screed floor screeds, the Knauf boards should only be leveled after floor screeds have been made.
